Day 1

Morning:

  • Depart from New Zealand to Rarotonga (approx. 4-hour flight).

  • Arrival in Rarotonga.

  • Transfer to beachfront accommodation and check-in.

Afternoon:

  • Lunch: Enjoy a fresh, island-inspired meal at a local café.

  • Relax at Muri Beach: Unwind on the white sand or take a gentle walk along the lagoon.

  • Optional: Rent paddleboards or kayaks for a short excursion to the nearby motus (small islands).

Evening:

  • Dinner: Group dinner at a beachfront restaurant, such as the Mooring Fish Café or Vaiana’s Bar & Bistro.

  • Night Market: Visit the Muri Night Market to experience local food, crafts, and music.

Itinerary

Day 2

Early Morning:

  • Transfer to Rarotonga Airport for a short flight to Aitutaki (approx. 50 minutes).

Morning:

  • Lagoon Cruise: Explore Aitutaki’s world-famous lagoon on a guided cruise. Activities include:

  • Snorkeling with vibrant marine life.

  • Visiting uninhabited motus, such as One Foot Island.

  • Learning about the lagoon’s ecology and local culture.

Afternoon:

  • Lunch: Enjoy a tropical barbecue lunch on the cruise with fresh seafood and local delicacies.

  • Free time to swim or relax on one of the motus.

Late Afternoon:

  • Return to the main island of Aitutaki for a quick tour or shopping at local craft stores.

  • Flight back to Rarotonga.

Evening:

  • Dinner: Casual dinner at the accommodation or a nearby restaurant.

  • Relax and unwind after the day’s adventure.

Day 3

  • Morning:

    • Breakfast: Relax with a tropical breakfast at the hotel.

    • Island Tour: Guided tour of Rarotonga, including:

      • Wigmore’s Waterfall.

      • Sacred marae sites and other cultural landmarks.

      • Inland roads (Ara Metua) with lush tropical views.

  • Afternoon:

    • Lunch: Local cuisine at a popular café or beachside spot.

    • Aroa Beach or Black Rock: Snorkel in crystal-clear waters or relax on the beach.

    • Optional: Hike the Cross-Island Trek for panoramic views of Rarotonga.

  • Evening:

    • Dinner: Group dinner with an umu (earth oven) feast or a traditional Polynesian buffet.

    • Cultural Show: Enjoy live music and traditional Cook Islands dance performances.

Day 4

  • Morning:

    • Breakfast and Check-out: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast.

    • Free time for last-minute souvenir shopping at Punanga Nui Market or a final swim in the lagoon.

  • Afternoon:

    • Lunch: Light meal at a café before transferring to Rarotonga Airport.

    • Depart for New Zealand.

  • Evening:

​Arrive Back In Auckland and transfer everybody home.
